Laurel Krahn

Web Geek (really)
Laurel has done far more writing on BBSes, online services, and the Internet in the last ten years than she ever did in high school or college. When school bored her, Laurel turned to the internet for an entirely different kind of education. She's worked as Director of Operations & Webmaster for an internet service provider and as Web Designer for a couple of Fortune 500 companies. Since joining startribune.com in April 1997, Laurel has run more reports on traffic to this website than she cares to think about. She also answers prickly HTML questions, manages some servers, administers some mailing lists, stages files from development to production, and serves as a liaison (translator?) between the content and technical staffs. Reasons she might be late to work: a) Her mutant cats are holding her hostage b) she's buried under an avalanche of books, CD's, videotapes, and computer hardware c) she's stranded at a science fiction convention somewhere.
