This classic book by William Strunk is intended for use by students in literature and composition classes. It aims to give in brief space the principal requirements of plain English style, concentrating on a few essentials, the rules of usage and principles of composition most commonly violated.
This hypertext Webster interface provides a point-and-click client
interface (for non-linemode browsers) for accessing the various
Webster's dictionary services on the Internet. First, type theword for
which you want the definition in the search window and hit return. Words in the resulting definition are hypertext linked back into the
dictionary, allowing you to use your mouse to access the definition of
those related (and unrelated) words.If you misspell the word, the
webster server may offer a list of close matches as alternatives.

Since its founding in 1965, the Hill Monastic Manuscript Library in
Collegeville, Minn., has built one of the largest and most comprehensive archives of medieval and Renaissance sources in the world. Its Web site offers manuscript images, presentations and exhibits; events and programs; sound files; a gift shop; and links to medieval study sites around the world.

The University of North Carolina project offers selected
poems from a number of contemporary poets. The archive will include the work of living poets from around the world. Highlights include audio clips, photographs, biographies and bibliographies. Poems will be presented in their original languages, as well as in English
translation.
