On Nov. 5, voters in 25 metro-area school districts will cast ballots in school levy referendums. All of those referendums involve operating-levy measures; a few also include down-payment levy questions and bond issues. This calculator will let you determine the annual tax increase you will face if a school operating-levy referendum passes in your district. To determine how passage of an operating-levy referendum would affect you, select your school district from the drop-down menu, plug your home's market value into the box and click on the ''calculate'' button. This calculation will give you only the increase involving school operating-levy measures. It will not give you any potential tax increase connected with down-payment levy or bond issue questions. Voters in the following districts will see down-payment or bond-issue questions on their ballots: Anoka-Hennepin, Belle Plaine, Farmington, Fridley, Minnetonka, Norwood, Orono, Prior Lake-Savage and Stillwater.
