| Most important issue: | Planned, limited development has served Afton well for 34 years. Afton's Comprehensive Plan should always define how our city develops. Our ordinances should never require radical changes to the Comprehensive Plan. A recent survey confirmed that residents want Afton to retain its natural beauty and charm. Two-thirds of 743 respondents said that the things they liked best about Afton were rural location and separation of homes from each other and lots of open space. Afton residents do not want cluster housing, condominiums, and commercial development along our western border. As Ward 4 representative, I will work to preserve Afton's rural beauty and charm. |
