| Most important issue: | The key issue affecting Afton is allowing modest development while still maintaining our desire to remain rural. I support limited development. We require 5-acre minimum lot sizes in most of the city and place a high value on open space and agriculture. The vast majority of our residents do not want high density development which would necessitate the extension of urban services such as sewer and water. They do not want to see houses on 3/4 acre lots nor condominiums downtown. As mayor, I will fight to maintain our unique corner of the world. | |
