| Most important issue: | The Minneapolis Board of Education must do a better job of providing leadership. Over the past decade, the board has failed to improve parent satisfaction, accelerate student achievement and abandon its broken bureaucracy. Board members must serve as leaders by establishing clear channels of communication with all constituencies and a budgeting process that is understandable and mission driven. As the economy softens, leadership in all areas of government becomes more essential. I have the knowledge, the passion and the courage to serve as a leader in challenging times. | |
