| Most important issue: | As a school board member, I would focus on Minneapolis Public Schools rebuilding trust and credibility with parents and taxpayers. To inspire trust and improve credibility, our district must 1)effectively manage funds and resources; and 2) address the disparities of educational and academic enrichment opportunities that exist between our schools and for our children. If every Minneapolis public school has sustainable, well-resourced, educational and academic enrichment opportunities and every Minneapolis public school child has access to quality educational opportunities (early childhood through grade 12), we will strengthen our ability to close the achievement gap, stabilize enrollment and have manageable class sizes. | |
