Most important issue: I am running for the School Board because I believe there is a lack of perspective there that recognizes it is through the generosity of the District's taxpayers that we have the resources necessary to educate our children. Farmington has slipped relative to neighboring districts, while becoming the highest taxed district in Dakota County. We must refocus our efforts on the true mission of our schools, namely academic excellence. District residents are going through tough times economically. Households are having to be especially mindful that they spend their resources wisely. The District should do so as well.
