Became known as NHL's "Mr. Zero."

Received Calder Memorial Trophy as NHL Rookie of the Year, 1938.

Received Vezina Trophy for leading NHL goalie, 1938-39, 1941-42.

Awarded Elizabeth C. Dufrense Trophy as most valuable Bruin in home games, 1942-43, and 1947-48.

Named to NHL All-Star team six times.

Goalie for two Boston Bruins Stanley Cup championship teams, 1938-39, 1940-41.
