eric simon with mother
Eric Simon presented a flower to his mother, Nancy, who was dying of AIDS. Eric had picked tulips from the garden and brought them to Nancy's bedside, and he held them close to her face hoping that she could see them, but she could not respond. "I love you, Mom," Eric said, and then turned and walked away. Nancy Simon died one week later, on May 24, 1996. To see the full story go to Testing the Human Spirit.
