April 10: An Iraqi woman cries as she cradles her dead husband's head in her hands as he lies in the backseat of a car outside the Republican Hospital in Kirkuk. Her husband, a civilian, was caught in crossfire in fierce fighting in the city. Many people were treated for gunshot and shrapnel wounds from fighting as Peshmerga and U.S. forces tried to take control of the city.
