March 31: Inside a holding pen of barbed wire, an Iraqi man sits holding his 4-year-old son, detained by soldiers of the 101st Airborne Division. Another detainee objects. "Why the baby? Why the baby? Four years? No soldier," he says in broken English. "Safer here than up north," a soldier replies slowly, hoping the men will understand.
