| 1:30 p.m.: Beverly Burnett drops a rose at a sculpture by Patrick Wilson dedicated to her son, Thomas Burnett Jr., and the passengers who revolted against the hijackers on Flight 93. The statue is made of bronze, steel and aluminum. It contains elements of the American flag and a door representing the obstacles the passengers overcame. ''I like it because Tommy kicked down the door and got in the cockpit. Now the door is for us.'' she said. | |
