At 6 a.m. , the doors on the West market corridor open and the groups of mall walkers are the first to arrive for their morning exercise. Swiping cards to keep track of their miles, the mall walkers share the rare peace and quiet inside the Mall of America with only occasional distraction from the cleaning crew and maintenance workers in the early hours of the day.
